Doner Kebab Implant Grafting Technique by Dr Kibera Kelvin
Featured products
This case is unique because the doctor used a different approach to standard surgical techniques. Instead of using the usual 3-4 implants in the narrow ridge of 4.5mm, they opted to use only two implants to accommodate the patient’s tight budget. To ensure stability, the doctor chose longer 13 and 16mm DSI Classic Cone 3.75mm implants with angulated placement. Implants were wrapped up in PRF membranes prepared from a patient’s blood - that's why we've called this case "kebab technique".
Two 17deg angulated multi-units were also used to compensate for implant diligence and achieve a perfect parallel base for further restoration. Another very interesting and creative idea was a use of our DSI SilFlow abutment sealing LC material to create a protective healing cap during the initial tissue restoration without interfering with occlusion.
