DSI Alyoss Plus Allograft
DSI Alyoss Plus is an allograft material, comprised of a combination of cortical and cancellous bone. The material is presented in a ready-to-use syringe, offering a time-saving, convenient delivery method. The bone is harvested from sections of the illium and then ground into several particulate sizes, resulting in a unique mix.
Being a cortico-cancellous allograft, DSI Alyoss Plus provides outstanding structural support to the site being treated, while inducing rapid new bone formation. The porous architecture of the cancellous bone acts as scaffold, encouraging the ingrowth of bone vessels that contain pre-osteoblastic and mesenchymal cells, thus promoting osteoconduction and accelerating revascularization. With its superior strength, the cortical component contributes to the structural strength and support of the affected site.
DSI Alyoss Plus is a viable alternative to using an autogenous graft from the patient, bringing a number of significant benefits. The material eliminates the need for a second surgical site, thus completely avoiding potential complications and infections, post-operative pain, additional anesthesia and a longer healing process.
DSI Alyoss Plus is a superb combination that gives this product the ideal cell structure of the cortical bone along with an open scaffold and support offered by the cancellous bone.
All DSI Biomaterials are produced with compliance to stringent international standards. Complete safety and high quality of the bone are ensured by numerous treatment sequences and exceptional measures. Only EU-registered tissue banks are used as a source, where virtually all the donors undergo stringent screening and extensive tests before being accepted into the banks. After that the bone is processed into DBM (Demineralized Bone Matrix) to expose osteoinductive growth factors in highly innovative facilities under aseptic technique to avoid any possible cross-contamination and meet strict release standards. The last step of the production is gamma sterilization to deliver a clinically effective product, neutral to immune reactions of the host.
The numerous advantageous qualities of the material make it ideal to use for sinus augmentation. DSI Alyoss Plus can be adjusted more properly in the sinus floor, it is more biocompatible than other bone materials and the healing process is faster and more predictable. The syringe ensures accurate and controlled placement for an easier filling of the maxillary sinus during the sinus lift.
DSI Alyoss Plus may be used alone or mixed with an autogenous bone in order to increase the osteoinductive properties of the graft.
