DSI Calcium-HX is a multi-purpose, versatile dental material.

‍The powder contains highly dispersed extra pure calcium hydroxide, hydrophilic filler, and radiopaque additives. Due to its radiopacity, DSI Calcium-HX helps monitor the progress of the treatment.

The powder can be mixed with deionized water or saline to form a paste that is easy to work with. 

DSI Calcium-HX offers a range of applications, including root canal procedures, caries treatment, direct/indirect pulp capping, and as a base or liner under dental restorations. 

The main advantage of using Calcium Hydroxide Powder in apexification procedures is its ability to stimulate the growth of apical barrier. An apical barrier is a protective layer of mineralized tissue that seals the end of the root canal and prevents bacteria and other microorganisms from re-entering the root canal system after treatment. Calcium hydroxide has an alkaline pH, which facilitates formation of new hard tissue. 

DSI Calcium-HX also has antimicrobial properties, making it an ideal choice for minimizing the risk of further infection and promoting healing.
