DSI Hemostatic Gel

Proper bleeding control is essential for the success of any oral surgery. Uncontrolled bleeding can compromise visibility of the working area, pose a threat to the patient, and prevent the continuation of the procedure.

DSI Hemostatic Gel is a 25% aluminum chloride solution that provides predictable and quick hemostasis. Aluminum chloride is a highly efficient hemostatic agent that acts through a chemical reaction with blood, and thus it doesn’t require the body hemostatic system to exert its effect. Its acidic property causes a reaction with blood proteins, which in turn makes a barrier preventing the outflow of blood from vessels. The barrier also keeps the aluminum chloride from entering the vessels and therefore stops its potential systemic side effects.

The tissue-kind formula DSI Hemostatic Gel stops minor bleeding in various clinical applications. The gel does not irritate the surrounding tissue. The solution rinses off completely and leaves no hemostatic residue or stains on tissue or teeth, unlike ferric sulphate.

The syringe with pre-bent tips ensures convenient and accurate application.

DSI Hemostatic Gel provides excellent hemostasis even in patients with abnormal body hemostatic system. Being an exceptionally effective hemostatic agent,  DSI Hemostatic Gel is not constricted to dental use, and it is useful for taking care of minor cuts or wounds.

The thixotropic formula of DSI Hemostatic Gel does not run or drip and stays exactly where you place it.

DSI Hemostatic Gel can be used to saturate retraction cord to control bleeding throughout the cord placement process.
