DSI Syntoss Multi Bone Graft is 100% synthetic, completely resorbable bone grafting material.
A special Multi-Layer Granules formula contributes to an improved bone repair process, and to prevention and treatment of purulent complications. The granules are made from radiopaque β-tricalcium phosphate (20%) / hydroxyapatite (80%) in polylactide glycolide matrix. The inner layer of the coating contains sodium hyaluronate, which has a stimulating effect on cell growth and contributes to the activation of reparative osteogenesis in the area of the injury.
The use of hydroxyapatite and tricalcium phosphate results in optimal resorption rate. The specially engineered release of calcium and phosphate ions facilitates new bone formation.
The mixture of HA and β-TCP brings out all the benefits of both components, including superb mechanical properties and rapid bone ingrowth rate. The chemical composition is similar to the mineral structure of human bone.
