DSI Stopper Drills are available in three options. The integral stopper drills, the DLC-coated stopper drill, and the conical stopper drills. The integral stopper and the DLC-coated drills are mainly used the same way the difference between them is that the DLC coating reduces the heat generation and allows smoother cutting with less vibration. The conical stopper drills are slightly the same and yet they are a little bit different because they are intended for a conical platform and not for the internal hexagon.
All the drills are made of stainless steel and are autoclavable at a temperature of 134° C. Recommended use cycles for the stopper drills are 30 cycles for regular ones and 50 cycles for DLC coated.
